The Czech startup Adam, which connects customers with reliable and affordable tradespeople without long waiting times or unclear pricing, is expanding its service portfolio to include one of the most in-demand trades – electricians. The service is now available in Prague, Brno, and Ostrava, with plans to expand to 10 more countries by the end of this year.

Adam’s platform has already simplified the way customers in over 10 countries worldwide book painting or home renovation services. Now, it is extending its portfolio to include certified partner electricians, with a planned rollout to 10 additional European countries by the end of the year.
"Finding a skilled and verified electrician is often a big challenge. Waiting times can stretch into months, and electrical work is required for most small and large-scale renovations, directly impacting other trades. We believe we can make electrician services much more accessible for customers and help our partners work more efficiently, leading to higher earnings, just like we’ve done with painters," explains Jakub Dvořák, co-founder of the company.
Adam’s medium-term vision is to provide enough trades so that customers can easily and reliably build an entire house with the help of the platform. "We’re already seeing that customers’ needs often go beyond a single trade. Being able to address everything conveniently and at once through Adam is a welcome solution that saves customers a lot of time and energy," adds Roman Sysel, the other co-founder.
According to company representatives, early market feedback is promising, with dozens of orders received in the first few weeks, many of which have already been fulfilled. "The first weeks look very promising. It’s clear that availability is key for customers, and thanks to such a strong start, we want to test this new service internationally as soon as possible," adds Marek Maxa, who is responsible for the operation of electrician services.
The platform has yet to reveal which countries it will expand to first. "Adam is already available in over 10 countries worldwide, which gives us a significant advantage in understanding different markets. We’ll primarily target markets where we already have a strong presence, but we’re not limiting ourselves geographically to just those countries," concludes Marek Maxa.
